Mentor Collective

Connecting emerging and established production professionals through meaningful mentorship, shared experience, and a commitment to strengthening Nashville's production community.

What To Expect

The Nashville Production Foundation Mentor Collective is designed to create meaningful connections between emerging and established production professionals. Through regular conversations, industry guidance, and community engagement, participants will gain practical insights, expand their networks, and build relationships that support long-term career growth.

Applications for the Fall 2026 Mentorship Cohort open August 1st and close August 20th. Selected participants will be notified by September 8th, and the cohort will run from September through the end of December.

2026 Cohort

How it Works

The Mentor Collective offers personalized guidance from experienced production professionals. Each mentee is thoughtfully matched with a mentor.

At the kickoff meeting, pairs will set a tangible goal for the cohort - whether it's building pitching experience, learning treatments, expanding a network, or getting on-set exposure. Meetings can be virtual or in person, depending on schedules and location. What stays consistent is focused support toward that goal.

Mentees will also get access to our library of NPW digital content and will be invited to a closing gathering to reflect and connect.

Qualifications

We're not here to gatekeep - just making sure we’re setting everyone up for success. If the below list has you thinking, “yep that’s me,” we’d love to have you apply.

Be at least 18 years old. We love future production pros, but this cohort is designed for adults who are beginning their careers.

Be early in your career. Have fewer than five years of professional experience in the production industry.

Or be early in a new path. If you're pivoting into a new discipline like producing, directing, post production, or another area of the industry, you should be within your first five years in that specific role.

Be ready to put in the work. Our mentors are volunteering their time and showing up for you, so we're looking for mentees who are eager to engage, follow through on commitments, and invest just as much into the relationship.
